30 Day Book Challenge: Day 2
Day 2: A book you've read more than 3 times
Hoo-boy, how to decide. See, I have a habit of rereading my favorites over, and over, and over, and...you get the idea. So, I've lots to choose from. I could go childhood and hip check The Secret Garden or Ronia, the Robber's Daughter. I could get into adolescence and think about Mists of Avalon or *whispers* Flowers in the Attic. Instead I think I'm going to go with
That it's a Harry Potter isn't really anything uncommon, but there's a reason it's book 3. I started reading HP a little later, the first 2 books were out and the 3 was about to drop when I discovered Harry and crew. I love the whole series, but whenever the next book would come out, and I felt like I needed a refresher, I would always start with Prisoner of Azkaban. I think that was mostly because book 2 is my least favorite (still is actually), and that book 3 is where you see the series moving into something a little darker, a little richer and a little more complex. So, I'd say I've read Prisoner at least 7 or 8 times (more if you include the audio format, I must have listened to that at least 10 times. A little love for Mr. Jim Dale, ladies and gentlemen!).
